Envytory Founding price: $500 a month, for life →

The comparison chart

Envytory vs. 30-year-old O&G software.

Side by side with the system you run your books on today: what you owe your owners, undoing a cycle, check stubs, vendor bills, Texas severance, where it runs, and your financial statements.

One question: what hurts worse, joint interest billing or keeping up with the paperwork? Either way, the chart below shows the difference in plain words, and the one-page PDF is yours to keep or pass along.

Founding price. 500 a month, billed annually, twenty seats, locked for as long as you stay. Two free weeks once your data is loaded. The first 50 clients who book through the lifetime page lock it for life.

What you owe every owner, on one screen.

This is JIB Live. Every owner's net position, what is held in petty and legal suspense, and open A/R, current as of your last posted check or bill. No cycle to run first. Click an owner and you are in their ledger.

JIB Live: cards for owners with a position, what we owe, what they owe, petty suspense, legal suspense, open A/R and unbilled overhead, above a grid of owners with net, billed, overhead, petty, legal and A/R columns

A demo company; owner names are fictional.

Seven things, side by side.

The left column describes that software as its own documentation does. “Live” means current as of your last posted check or bill.

What you owe your owners Known when you run the revenue and billing cycle: extract, distribute, post. JIB Live. Every owner's balance, current as of your last posted check or bill, any day of the month. The number on screen is the calculation that cuts the check.
Undoing a cycle Back up before you post; undo by restoring the backup. Reverse the run in one step. Everything it posted comes back out, owner suspense included.
Revenue check stubs Keyed by hand from the stub, or imported from a spreadsheet or CDEX feed. Forward the stub to your company's own address, or upload the scan or PDF. It's staged with the purchaser and wells matched, and master-meter checks split to their member wells.
Vendor bills Keyed on the invoice screen, with the scan attached. Forward the bill to your company's own address, or upload the scan or PDF. It arrives as a draft with the vendor matched, and nothing posts until you say so.
Texas severance Rates kept in a matrix you key and maintain. Texas gas credit tiers kept current for you. Severance computed for each production month, with variances flagged.
Where it runs A Windows desktop program, reached through Citrix or a remote desktop. In the browser. No Citrix, no server. Your bookkeeper and your CPA each get their own login.
Financial statements Run from the report writer; a cash flow statement means building its definition yourself. P&L with budget, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance and aging in one place, refreshed whenever anything posts. Every figure opens to the entries behind it.

Moving over

  • Your backup, loaded. Chart of accounts, owners, decks and wells come across. Nothing retyped.
  • Proven on a real operator's month: billing matched their old system to the cent, and every dollar of owner suspense tied.
  • Two free weeks, starting once your data is loaded. We run your month alongside your current system, so you can compare the two on your own books.
